PerlNet:IRC channels
From PerlNet
Internet Relay Chat (IRC) is a form of instant, group communication. PerlNet contributors and editors can often be found at irc.freenode.net #PerlNet. You're encouraged and welcome to join the channel. Recent changes are broadcasted to the channel, so the IRC channel is a great way to keep up-to-date with the activity on PerlNet right now.
Some suggested (and free) programs for IRC:
- Windows: ChatZilla
- Linux: irssi, BitchX, Konversation
- OS X: Colloquy
Several internet messaging (IM) programs also integrate support for IRC:
- Windows: Miranda IM, Gaim
- Linux: Gaim, Kopete
- OS X: Fire
