Thanks
Hi Paul,
Thanks. Maybe that could be added to the instructions at http://perl.net.au/wiki/PerlNet%3ABusiness_templates

I added a reference to PTA material
Paul,
I added some links to Perl Training Australia on Learning Perl -- you may want to check out that you're comfortable with the way I did it.

Adding summary
No dramas on the summary.
How do you add the (talk) superscript to the end of the sig?

Book Reviews
Paul,
I'm a member of the ACCU who have huge book review section. It generates a lot of interest and column inches (or should that be cm’s?) in their journal (which is dead tree). Is it worth doing something on a smaller scale here?
It does take a fair bit of work. Someone has to solicit books from book shops and publishers and then get reviewers to turn in reviews.
What are you thoughts? It would require a committed volunteer, however over time it could generate a lot of interest in the web site
Thanks
Many thanks for you comments and assistance with my code.

Thanks for showing me how to set up my pages, Paul! :-)
What a great site...well done.

Re: User:Raphael
G'day Paul,
Yes I kind of realised that perhaps Raphael would have been a better way to start - after I'd already signed up as belfry.
Is it possible to have multiple log-ins, or a listed alias or will I need to remove belfry and start again with Raphael?
Thanks!

Time out by an hour ?
My edits are showing up an hour into the future

it was intentional
As the app now does only side-by-side , I replaced it. I've also just emailed the perltidy author about possibly contributing this to the perltidy sourceforge project.
I am going to to run the code through Perl::Critic, then prepare a release for CPAN using Module::Starter::PBP - I am quite chuffed at using the PBP module to prepare a tool to aid PBP....
I'll probably post an RFC on perlmonks and perl.net.au once I upload to CPAN - no idea how to go about that though. I think I need to get a PAUSE id first.

VandalBot needs Perlnet::Bot
Hello,
I was just wondering if you could put up the source for Perlnet::Bot used by Vandalbot.

VandalBot - topic for a talk
I know nothing of Wiki's and their ilk, nor how vandal and spam attacks occur - so perhaps others are like me and would like to learn about what you had to do and what you learnt.
False new message indicator
Paul, I've noticed that when you revert a vandalism to my talk page, I get the "You have new messages" link - is it possible to have, as part the revert , the mechanism for detecting new messages fooled into thinking there is nothing new ?

Reduce spam noise in Recent changes page
Paul, your spam cleanup work is great, but non-spam-clean-up changes get lost in the "noise" on the "Recent changes" page - would it be possible to filter these out from the page, perhaps providing a link to the spam related changes if someone really wanted to see them ? This way, a new or changed content line in "Recent changes" will really standout.
Leif
